The Bell Choir 

At Pleasant Street United Methodist Church, we have long believed in the power of prayer—and God has answered in the most beautiful way.

For years, our hearts hoped for a handbell choir. We dreamed of those ethereal tones filling our sanctuary, calling us to worship with reverence and joy. But handbells are costly, and for a season, that dream stayed just that—a prayer whispered in faith.

Then, one day, a miracle.

Out of the blue, a generous sister congregation reached out. They had heard about our longing—and in the spirit of Christlike generosity, they offered us their handbell set. No strings attached. Just the open hand of God’s grace extended through fellow believers.

Today, our Handbell Choir is more than a new musical group—it’s a living testimony. With every note that rings, we are reminded of God’s abundance, of the power of community, and of the surprising ways God answers prayer. The sanctuary now sings with the shimmering sound of bells, lifting hearts and drawing all closer to the sacred.

Whether accompanying our choir or offering stand-alone arrangements, the handbells add a new layer of beauty to our worship. Each performance is more than music—it’s gratitude made audible.
